WE ARE THE (BEER)
CHAMPIONS

Didn’t manage to get Rugby World Cup tickets? Enjoy the action at home with this selection of award-winning craft beers

With a Springbok-supporting father, a brother who defected to Australia and another who’s a staunch England fan, about the only thing my family agrees on during the World Cup is what to drink: beer. Which makes sense, as beer and rugby is as classic a match-up as Lions versus Wallabies in the final showdown (well, we can hope!) This collection of 12 exceptional, award-winning beers was made for afternoons spent bellowing at the screen with your mates during this year’s most anticipated sporting event. And, best of all, there’s enough variety – including a stout, a porter and a bitter – to avoid a scrum when it comes to finding favourites. My pick of the pack is the gold-medal-standard Mosaic Pale Ale, a crisp, refreshing blend with hints of mango and lime.
