Fashion influencers know a thing or two about how to look chic when the temperature drops. Here’s how five of our favourites will be knitting out their Christmas wardrobe, from luxe cashmere polos through to classic crew-necks
The cashmere ‘it’ knit
“‘Tis the season to stay in and snuggle in Marks and Spencer cashmere,” according to Rosie, aka The Londoner, who looks the epitome of relaxed chic in her plush camel ensemble. The 100% cashmere cable-knit sweater and wide-leg trousers are a match made in heaven for luxurious yet sophisticated Christmas Day style. Instagram star and blogger Annam Ahmad is also a fan of this staple cable, who likes to wear hers for the ultimate cosy night in.
The cowl-neck wonder
Tijan Serena pairs her relaxed-fit jumper with a satin slip dress and knee-high boots for an outfit that works for a whole host of festive occasions. “Chic and static-free, this jumper will not only see me through the festive season but all the way until the warmer weather arrives.” Recreate the look by cinching in the oversized proportions with a wide belt and add a boxy vanity-style bag to dress up for cocktails. Switch the boots for trainers and you have a put-together outfit for run-around days.
The merino must-have
“A cosy festive jumper is for life and not just for Christmas, am I right?” says Anna of The Anna Edit. “This merino wool knit is comfy enough for the big day, but would look great with leather trousers for a night out on the town year-round. And it’s machine washable – win!”. Monikh Dale agrees, pairing hers with this season’s flared-heel ankle boots in mock-croc leather and an animal print tote – the perfect outfit for hitting the Boxing Day sales.
