  1. Measure the rice in a jug
  2. Wash with warm water in a pan until the water runs clear
  3. Drain and add double the amount of cold water
  4. Bring to the boil, before turning the heat to the lowest setting
  5. Cover with a lid and cook for 15 minutes, avoiding stirring as it will make the rice stodgy
  6. When the water has evaporated and the rice has cooked through, fluff up with a fork and serve
