CARROT GOLD

Celebrating International Carrot Day wasn’t a high priority for us – until we realised you can turn root vegetables in cocktails

Nope, I’m not pulling your leg, there definitely is an International Carrot Day and, what’s more, it’s been celebrated on 4 April since 2003. Get involved in this year’s festivities by shaking up our citrus-packed cocktail recipe for a carrot and blood orange crush. Muddle two teaspoons of chopped carrot-top leaves and a strip of blood orange rind in a cocktail shaker using the handle of a wooden spoon. Pour in 125ml of M&S carrot and orange juice, 25ml triple sec and 50ml vodka (I recommend our extra-smooth, copper-pot-distilled vodka with hints of black pepper and grass) and pour over ice-filled glasses with a garnish of fresh blood orange and candied baby carrots.
