GIN-GLE ALL THE WAY

Our new Christmas dry gin is the ultimate yuletide drink. Find it in store, then try our three festive cocktails

If you’re planning a festive get-together, our new Christmas dry gin is guaranteed to lift guests’ spirits. I love it for many reasons: the fact it’s made in my former hometown of Edinburgh, by brilliant independent producers The Old Curiosity Distillery; its heady notes of cinnamon, clove and cardamom; and the cheerful red label. It’s delicious in a Christmassy gin and tonic, garnished with fresh lime wedges and frozen cranberries. If you’re catering for a crowd, let guests mix their own drinks from a G&T station laden with cinnamon sticks, pink peppercorns, fresh citrus and rosemary sprigs, plus ice that’s been frozen with a few pomegranate seeds. Or go all-out with one of the cocktail ideas below. Cheers!

a treat for you, our Christmas
dry gin is a festive essential”

Three Christmas gin cocktails

Pick up our Christmas dry gin in store, then combine with zesty garnishes in these three winter tipples

Pomegranate gin fizz
Shake one part gin over ice with three parts pomegranate juice and the juice of one lime. Pour into a champagne coupe and top up with soda, then garnish with fresh pomegranate seeds.

Gin-gle and tonic
Add one measure of gin to a glass filled with ice then top up with tonic. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary skewered with two cranberries, and extra cranberries in the glass.

Christmas negroni
Shake one part gin with one part vermouth rosso and one part Campari. Pour into a tumbler filled with ice and finish with a twist of fresh clementine zest.
