You can't go wrong with spaghetti bolognese and thanks to our range of great value everyday staples across the Foodhall, from mince and veg to chopped tomatoes and pasta, you can enjoy delicious dinners made with M&S-quality ingredients for less.
To make a classic spag bol, simmer diced carrots, onions and peppers in a little olive oil until softened, then add our 5% fat British beef mince and brown for a few minutes. Add a tin of tomatoes and simmer until the sauce has reduced, adding a little water if needed. Season and add a pinch of chilli flakes to taste. Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to the pack instructions. Serve the sauce tossed through the spaghetti with grated parmesan.
Make a big batch of spaghetti bolognese sauce and transform the leftovers into a tasty Mexican feast. Simply heat the leftover sauce and add tinned kidney beans, an additional tin of tomatoes, a spoonful of chipotle chilli paste and a spoonful of cumin. Serve in taco wraps with coriander, lime, shredded lettuce and a dollop of soured cream. Wrap up the burritos in tin foil for a tasty lunch to take to work.
