AUTUMN TRENDS ON THE STREET

Find out which styles have walked straight off the catwalk and onto the high street, with our round-up of the most wearable looks for autumn

LOGO TOPS

While every wardrobe needs a few plain tops, this season the coolest way to wear your tee is emblazoned with a logo, slogan or image. Pair with a patterned skirt for an easy route to mix-and-match impact, or layer under a blazer for a smart but stylish look.

FRUITY SUITS

Got a special occasion this autumn? Then it’s time to reconsider your cocktail dress and try this season’s coolest take on dressing up: the colour-pop pant suit. From canary yellow to bright blue, they’ve been a hit with the fashion crowd and Australia's top style influencers, from Deauvanné Jarvis to Jess Dempsey. As well as being a showstopping look worn together, you can also throw on the jacket or pants separately to create a whole range of outfits from your existing wardrobe.

SEVENTIES VIBES

This season, Seventies fashion is the epitome of cool. Opt for wide-legged trousers with chunky-heeled boots, worn with your logo T-shirt (see above) and a knotted scarf. The colour palette revolves around orange, burgundy, green and oh-so-much brown, ideally layered one on top of the other – but you could always dip a toe in with a bag or pair of trousers first..

SHADES OF BEIGE

Beige is all the rage right now. Whereas once this colour was all about blending into the background, now it’s the way to grab attention, especially when worn head to toe. If you don’t want to brave just one type of beige (pictured), try mixing different shades from the palette, from palest oyster to deep toffee. Give this trend a go, and you might be surprised at how easy it is to wear.

ALL ABOUT DENIM

Your wardrobe probably already leans heavily on denim, but this autumn it’s not just jeans that are making the statement. Denim boiler suits, skirts, dresses and shirts are all hot right now – and luckily for us, they’re infinitely wearable. They also provide the perfect base for eye-catching accessories, whether that’s a rainbow-bright pair of shoes or a statement bag.
