EASY AUTUMN STYLE

All work and no play? Isn’t about time you addressed the work/life balance in your wardrobe with some much needed inspiration on relaxed style? Starting off the week we have a brilliant menswear investment; a butter-soft leather bomber jacket in classic navy – just the thing to add a refined touch to any off-duty outfit. And kidswear editor Maggie Davis has honed in on a great pair of rabbit-design wellies from our ever-popular character range – perfect for little ones on rainy-day play-dates and trips out with the whole family. We’ve also got curling up on the sofa covered with our luxurious Shimmer Soft dressing gown. It comes in nine different shades, from coffee bean to cerise. And as for stepping out with a cosy glow this autumn? Fashionista Laura Craik talks us through her coat of the season; a super-fun, super on-trend lilac faux fur coat (which sold out when it first landed, and has just come back in stock). It almost makes us look forward to the coming cold snap.

THE NEW CRONUT

Breton speciality, the kouign-amann – pronounced ‘kweenyaman’ – launches in stores today. The delicious flaky pastry derives its name from the Breton words for butter and cake – some hint as to its richness. Great British Bake Off fans may recognise it as one of the fiendishly difficult technical challenges set by Paul Hollywood, but it has already been setting hearts alight across the pond. Cult baker and inventor of the cronut Dominique Ansel has been selling his version from his NY bakery since it launched in 2009. All you have to do to give this tasty treat a try is pop in store!
