Water Resistant Cotton Rich Parka with Stormwear™

A good coat in so many ways but with one serious shortcoming. If you intend wearing this coat outside and think you might want to fasten it up, then ensure that you take at least one, and preferably two, of your valets with you. You will need several pairs of hands to stretch the zip into perfect alignment with the optimum tension and ensure that none of the excess fabric close to the zip gets trapped as you fasten it. If it does - you are in trouble. You will need to wriggle free of the coat over your head or by lowering it to the floor and stepping out. This is best performed in quiet solitude like Birmingham's New Street station at rush hour. You can then carry the coat home - ideally in a carrier bag to ensure that it doesn't get wet in the rain - and free the fabric at your leisure using a bench vice and pliers.

Just what I was looking for & fits a treat. Strong material, well made & very practical.

Bought this for my husbands Christmas present, two weeks later the zip got stuck as there was too much material next to it. Took it back to the shop & they gladly exchanged it. I explained the problem & they ordered a new on. The new one definitely has less material around the zip area. Very pleased now. Good service as usual!

Is good quality parka, smart, stylish, comfortable - just one niggle: the zip! It doesn't lay flat, is slightly puckered along the whole length, so it sometimes catches in the material & can be quite difficult to free-very frustrating when in a hurry!! The coats in our store were all similar so I ordered one online but that one was the same, though clearly brand new, arrived still in it's clear wrapper! Otherwise a lovely coat!

This is a warm smart/casual jacket, but it is a pity it is not about 8" longer.

Delighted to be able to buy this jacket in longer length. Annoyingly our local Inverness has no LONG lengths of the products I was looking at recently. Lack of space? However it's very smart but I should have ordered a medium size as the Large was too big esp at the lower hem as it bulged out A-line style!
