Rated 5 out of 5 by maisiegrey great school trousers for teenagers
My son liked them straight away, good fit and he wore them the next day for school, very happy with them when he got home, so high praise indeed from a 14 year old! They have washed and ironed well and kept creases (where you want them). Will buy another pair.

After purchasing these trousers for my oldest son who requested 'skinny' trousers some time back, I thought I'd buy the same for my year 7 son.
I noticed towards the end of last year that the quality of these had degraded significantly, they felt much thinner and on comparison to older pairs were much lighter fabric. The trousers were splitting at the seam but I put that down to the fact my son was wearing them below his waist!
Fast forward to September, different child, new trousers, first pair split on first day of school, second pair split the next day, exactly the same place on the private area.
Really really disappointed, it's so difficult to get skinny trousers for school, although these are more slim, they're the closest I have found. I had to order from elsewhere and although they're not as slim, they are better quality, less expensive and have lasted more than a day.
It's such a shame that the quality has reduced as they're so difficult to source, no one wants to design skinny school trousers when they're the height of current fashion trends. They aren't exactly 'cheap' so M&S really needs to sort this issue quickly and revert back to the original quality.

Have bought these before and my son has loved them but this year they don't seem to be skinny. He is not that happy with them but has to wear them as he needed them. Come on Marks and Spencer's make them skinny please as the description says to keep the 14 year olds happy. Thanks

disappointed with these school trousers, did not even ask my son to try on, as the febric was all wrong for school trousers, looks cheap and can't imagine they would wash and iron well.

These might be skinny in the lower leg but no-where else.
I was very disappointed with the fit of these trousers. The waist was far too big as was the bottom/seat and top of the thigh. My son is a slim 15 year old and is 5ft 10 tall and these just looked ridiculous on. If you used the waist adjustment the fabric bunched up at the back.
Needless to say I returned these. Clearly M&S do not understand the concept of 'skinny'.
