About the prize draw

 

1. The promoter of this prize draw is Marks and Spencer plc, Waterside House, 35 North Wharf Road, London W2 1NW (“M&S”).
2. 2. Marks & Spencer is a registered data controller with the Information Commissioner’s Office (registration number Z6046528). We respect your right to privacy and will only process personal data you provide to us in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 and other applicable privacy laws. For more information see the Marks & Spencer Privacy Policy on our website marksandspencer.com.
3. By entering the prize draw you agree to the below terms and conditions, to be bound by the decisions of M&S and to receive email notifications from M&S in relation to the prize draw.

4. This prize draw is open only to permanent UK residents employed by M&S who are aged 18 or over.
5. Only one entry per person. No entries on behalf of third parties will be accepted.

 

Choosing the winners

 

6. The winners will be the first 20 people to submit their interest in winning the prize, a pair of tickets to Vodafone London Fashion Weekend.
7. M&S will notify the winners by Friday 5th September by email. The notification will include details of how the prize can be accepted. If the winner does not confirm acceptance of the prize by Friday 12th September another winner will be contacted in order of the receipt of their entry into the prize draw.
8. Tickets will be e-tickets and winners will receive them by email before the 15th September.

9. Each participant may only win one prize.
10.The winners will each receive a pair of tickets to the event.
   a. You need a valid ticket that must be produced to get in to see the show/event.
   b. The Producer or Venue Management reserves the right to refuse admission in reasonable circumstances. If you arrive late then you may have to wait until a convenient break in the show         before you can take your seat.
  c. Please do not be offended if the Producer or Venue Management asks to look in your bag – to ensure everyone’s safety they may have to conduct occasional security searches.
  d. Reselling this ticket for profit or commercial gain makes it void.
  e. Sometimes the Producer or Event Promoter needs to make an alteration to the advertised details for the performance at short notice. If this happens then the Producer or Event Promoter        is not obliged to exchange tickets.
  f. If you cannot see the show properly or there are any other issues hindering your enjoyment then you should complain promptly to the Producer or Venue Management prior to the show, if         possible.
  g. The show or event may be filmed or recorded. If you have any objection, should this happen when you attend a show or event, please contact the Producer or Venue Management.
  h. We’re sorry if any of your personal property is lost or damaged while at the venue, but neither the Producer/Event Promoter nor Theatre Owner/Venue Management can be held         responsible.
  i. Somerset House may have additional terms and conditions and these also apply.

 

General

 

11. The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and subject to availability. There is no cash alternative.
12. M&S’ decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome of the draw.
13. No responsibility will be taken for late, lost, indecipherable or misdirected entries or for any failure of communication resulting from incorrectly supplied information.
14. M&S reserves the right to check the validity of any entry and the identity of any entrant or winner and to refuse entry or refuse giving the prize if M&S reasonably considers the entry and/or winner to be in breach of the terms and conditions.
15. Prize details are correct at date of publication. M&S reserves the right to substitute any element of the prize with a prize of a similar nature and/or value should any original element of the prize become unavailable for any reason.
16. M&S reserves the right at any time in its sole discretion to cancel, modify or supersede the prize draw if it believes, in its sole discretion, that the prize draw is not capable or is likely not to be capable of being conducted fairly or as specified within these terms and conditions due to events beyond its control (including, without limitation, a virus, a computer bug or unauthorised human intervention or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of M&S that could corrupt or affect the administration, security, impartiality or normal course of the prize draw.
17. The e-tickets will only be delivered to the email address provided on entry.
18. The winners and guests may be required, subject to their consent, to take part in reasonable post prize draw publicity for M&S which may include filming, photography or other recordings required by M&S or other third parties for publicity purposes and the winner and guest agree to the use of their personal data for such purposes.
19. The entrant agrees to assign all copyright and intellectual property developed during this prize draw exclusively to M&S.
20. The names and counties of the prize winners will be available by sending a stamped addressed envelope within one month of the notification date to Jill Bainbridge, Marks and Spencer plc, Waterside House, 35 North Wharf Road, London W2 1NW.
21. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall limit in any way M&S’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence. Subject to that, M&S shall have no liability for any delay and/or failure to perform any obligation to the winner or other entrant that is caused by: (a) technical problems of any kind which may limit or prevent any person's participation in the prize draw; (b) any loss or damage arising from or in connection with the allocation of the prize; (c) any act or omission of any third party; or (d) any other events beyond M&S’s control that may cause the prize draw to be disrupted or corrupted or may lead to loss of, or damage to, the prize in transit to the winner.
22. We will do our best to resolve any problems relating to the prize draw. This promotion shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.
23. If any of these terms and conditions is found by a court or regulator to be invalid or unenforceable the other provisions shall continue to apply.

2. The prize draw starts on Monday 1st September 2014. To enter the prize draw participants must complete their details online at stylist.co.uk/fashionweekend before midnight on 14th September 2014 in order to have a chance to win a pair of tickets.

1. Stylist will draw 200 winners at random on 15th September and the draw will be supervised by an independent person. Note the short timescales for acceptance. This is due to the show date being close to the deadline for the competition closure.

If the winner does not confirm acceptance of the prize by 4pm on Tuesday 16th September another random draw will take place from completed entries and another winner will be selected.
