Indulge in a long, sunny lunch

Enjoy taste of Italy at home by serving up a mid-afternoon aperitivo treat. Simply fill a board with delicious charcuterie, such as our signature cure truffle ham and spicy salami, alongside nocellara olives and homemade bruschetta, featuring our Isle of Wight tomatoes – they’re super sweet thanks to the Isle of Wight’s gloriously sunny climate.

To make the bruschetta, toast or griddle sliced baguette until golden, then rub with garlic, olive oil and salt. Slice the Isle of Wight tomatoes and dress with white wine vinegar, olive oil and salt and pepper. Add the tomatoes to the toast and finish with a few basil leaves and a drizzle of our truffle balsamic glaze – bellissima!

To drink? It’s a no-brainer. Opt for this season’s must-sip, our aperitivo spritz. Made with crisp and refreshing Spanish white wine and intense orange bitters, it’s a holiday in a bottle. Sip a super-zesty margarita

Missing cocktails by the pool this summer? Then try our tasty twist on a margarita, which packs a punch of sunshine flavour thanks to our Cook with M&S preserved lemon paste. To make two cocktails, gently heat 50g sugar with 50ml water in a saucepan until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from the heat and allow to cool. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, then add 100ml tequila, 60ml lime juice, 1 tsp Cook with M&S preserved lemon paste, and all the cooled sugar syrup. Shake well, strain into two cocktail glasses (coat the rims in salt first), and garnish with a wedge of lemon and a sprig of thyme.

Cool down with a fruity iced treat

With the sun (hopefully) shining on your holiday at home, you’ll need a tasty refreshing iced treat that the whole family will love making (and eating!) To make fruity ice lollies, simply pour fruit juice into a lolly mould, then add slices of fruit. Freeze for three hours or until solid, then remove from the mould. If the ice lollies are difficult to remove, briefly dip the mould in hot water. Need some flavour inspiration? Try our delicious ideas:

  • Use orange juice as the base to your lolly and add slices of kiwi and passion fruit seeds.
  • Pair our fresh lemonade juice with Sapphire raspberries and fresh mint leaves.
  • Add slices of mango and pineapple to a tropical juice lolly.


Fancy a refreshing mocktail to sip by the (paddling) pool? Add fresh blackberries and super-sweet Red Diamond strawberries to the top of our super berry smoothie or garnish our pineapple, peach and passion fruit juice with mint and a slice of pineapple. Get a taste of Spain at home

Enjoy a stress-free – and totally delicious – Spanish-inspired dinner with our new Gastropub paella. This summer superstar packs a punch of flavour, thanks to flame-grilled peppers, smoked paprika and chipotle-marinated sliced chicken thighs, plus saffron-and-turmeric-infused rice. The paella is cooked in a sauce made from chorizo, shellfish stock, white wine and fennel to ensure a deep and rich flavour. The final touch is deliciously plump and succulent king prawns.
