Through Plan A we’re working with our customers and our suppliers to combat climate change, reduce waste, use sustainable raw materials, trade ethically, and help our customers to lead healthier lifestyles.
We launched Plan A in January 2007, setting out 100 commitments to achieve in 5 years. We've now extended Plan A to 180 commitments to achieve by 2015, with the ultimate goal of becoming the world’s most sustainable major retailer.
At M&S, we’ve had a sustainable fishing policy for 12 years and now we’re taking it even further, with our Forever Fish campaign.
Over 90% of all the wild fish we sell comes from the most sustainable sources available to us, such as those certified by the Marine Stewardship Council, and we’re working with WWF to ensure that all our other fisheries will have the most sustainable practices in place too.
M&S has a heritage of working closely with UK and Irish producers. Meet some
