Romano Table & 4 Chairs Set

After much searching we finally found and purchased this table and chairs for our conservatory/garden room. Delivered on time and we managed to assemble it quite easily although needs two people because of the weight of the table. We are very pleased with the set and as it is in our garden room it is used every day. My husband was disappointed that the table top was not smooth but this does not cause a problem. Like other reviewers we did find the chair backs uncomfortable but have purchased suitable cushions to solve the problem. On the whole we are very pleased with the furniture. It looks smart and stylish and we love using it all the time without having to wait for the weather to be fine.

The table and chairs are very nicely made and hopefully will last for a good many years. I do have reservations about the practicality of the colur chosen for the chair cushions. Off white will show every little mark and although we have bought a cover to totally protect the table and chairs, we feel that we can only put the cushions out if we are going to sit outside.

We bought the above after seeing it for sale at The Middlebrook, Bolton store, £100 off so decided to store it until next summer on the assumption we will get some sunshine. We loved the simple easy clean appearance which should be easier to look after than the wooden set which it will replace.

Excellent delivery service by M&Sp. Exactly on time delivery. Informed by letter, then email & text informing me of exact time of delivery. Assembling table quick & easy by two people. Would be difficult for one person but not impossible. Chairs well packed. Looks lovely on the patio but sat in the comfortable chairs once due to the constant bad weather. "O to be in England now summer is here". Not M& Sp fault!!!!

You really need good weather to get the value out of this product. Unfortunately I live in Northern Ireland and we only had about five sunny days since the beginning of the year. Outside of the weather this is an excellent product and is authentically Spanish. Top quality and easily assembled.

I am absolutely delighted with my purchase. The quality and appearance is super and I have been eagerly watching the weather forecasts and taking advantage of every opportunity to use it. Really pleased and have also purchased the firepit to match. It would be great if M & S also produced a garden bench which matched or toned with this range! The only small whinge I have is in M & S inflexible delivery policy which imposes a £100 charge for late postponement or changes to delivery times and does not allow for goods to be left without being signed for.

My only grumble is that it's a little bit irritating that we're advised not to leave this garden furniture outside in the winter, especially as neither the table nor chairs are collapsible. Having said that it's a fabulous set. The mosaic surface must surely have been hand-done, so it has a lovely authenticity about it, and the table is very stable and heavy. Likewise the chairs, which are comfortable and a good size. I love the fact that the cushion covers look like a standard twill fabric but in fact have a sort of plastic finish so repel the - usually torrential in this part of the world - rain. But the detail I really love is the little marble disk that fits in the middle, so if you don't have the parasol inserted you don't lose the pepper pot down the hole. Love it. Excellent purchase.
