Specially selected by the Best of British team for Marks and Spencer, this dobby texture shirt, is made from 100% cotton, woven in the Aydin Province of Turkey by SÖKTAŞ. Featuring a clean bluff edge collar and French armhole seams, Best of British shirts are manufactured in Kent by Rayner & Sturges. Founded in 1971, SÖKTAŞ is a specialist maker and supplier of cotton shirtings based in the Aegean region of Turkey. Rayner & Sturges began making detachable shirt collars in Brompton, Kent in the early 20th century. By 1935 the company had become shirtmakers in their own right. Their collars are made in the traditional way: hand-turned with a loose lining and collar stiffener slots.
