Harriet Jacket with Gilet

I wear a waxed jacket in the rain. This didn't cover my butt so rather impractical. The gilet was fine but I did buy a size up. It's a nice jacket which would have great had it been about five inches longer

This is a high quality item and looks great on. Like other reviewers I found the little gilet a little on the small side but the jacket fitted perfectly in my usual size. It looks particularly good in dark navy. Love the leather collar.

well made and the leather collar is a nice touch. The gillet that came with it was different from the one in the picture but a minor detail. Also, feel the colour is black not navy but am still delighted with the jacket

I'm afraid I will have to return this jacket. I am usually a standard 12, sometimes 14 and although I ordered the 14 it was still very neat fitting. Also the web site picture shows the gilet with a stand up collar however it actually had a V neck rather like an old fashioned waistcoat, not as stylish as expected.

It's good to be able to get British made items but like another reviewer, I found problems with the size. I am usually a standard M & S 18 so that's what I bought. It was a little snug, especially around the hips (perhaps just the post-Christmas syndrome?) and I doubted that I would get a warm sweater under it - important as there is no warmth in the jacket. Then when I tried the gilet I discovered (as another reviewer did) that it was so small it would not even meet in the middle - could not zip it up. I would have gone up a size but 18 is the biggest so sadly I've had to return it.

I was disappointed with this jacket not for the quality but the actual fit. The outer jacket fit very well but the inner waistcoat barely reached. I thought the jacket was far superior to another well n Known brand which has its brand emblazoned all over it

I've wanted a waxed jacket for a long time and finally took the plunge with this UK made classic style. I was not disappointed. The quality is superb and it goes very well with jeans. The blue colour is very dark and almost looks black and the fabric weight is suitable for autumn days. The waistcoat is a bit unwanted because I would rather wear a wool jumper underneath in colder weather. I've put true to size because it is roomy and not close fitting at my usual size which is necessary to allow for layers underneath in the winter.
