Pure Cotton Canvas Fisherman Bag

Perfect colour & size for the man who has everything

Bought for a present, hope it will be suitable. If not I will be using it, ideal size for a small holiday bag for kindle, camera etc. Great quality.

The bag is a nice size, a shame it is not waxed cotton as some other similar priced M and S man bags are. So it is not waterproof. Plenty of compartments. Generally well made. The fastening straps are a disappointment as they are magnet fittings which easily get knocked open. That is a let down as it is not possible to fasten the bag securely.

This is better than it appears on the website photo - it is sort of softer and less canvassy than I thought, and extremely well finished. I bought it for my husband and I like it a lot. Cannot say more as I have wrapped it for Christmas so haven't examined the inside pockets etc., but have no reason to believe it won't be as nice inside as it looks from the outside.

Great looking bag, not too big or small.

I had bought this bag to carry my books for my OU course as other bags that I own were way too big for this purpose. The bag is very well made and is of sturdy cotton construction (like canvas) with good solid stitching and good quality fixings (buckles etc.). This bag would have been ideal except when I tried to load my books into it they were slightly too big in length and I couldn't close the flap properly - this was my own fault as I had underestimated the length of my books. Unfortunately this meant that I needed to return the bag. This was achieved with no fuss whatsoever and a full refund was issued by M & S with no questions asked.

This bag is well made. I like the magnetic clasps under the leather straps, although some people might not like them. It is large enough to carry an iPad, phone, keys, wallet and more. I think something could have been put in the flap to keep some rigidity if the bag hasn't a lot in it as the bag can look a bit saggy. I would recommend this bag as a small, light weight bag for casual use to take your iPad to your favourite coffee shop etc.

Very happy with this. I wanted a Barbour style bag but didn't want to fork out a fortune and also wanted something not too large. This really fitted the bill. There is a black version of this bag but this is way better. I am in my late 50s so wanted something that had a canvas/country style look and this was perfect.

Do not buy this bag if you want to keep anything dry! The cover flap of this bag is actually smaller than the bag itself. This leaves a gap either side of the top to let water flooding in! I returned my bag because I was not convinced the magnetic catches under the 'dress' buckles were really up to the job. So... it's nice to look at but most impractical - unless you just want to pose

Extremely pleased with this bag. It holds my A5 filolfax, Samsung Galaxy note, Freedom Pro Keyboard, purse, glasses. Pretty much everything I need to lug around with me on a daily basis. The strap is a bit wider than I'd expected but turns out it's really handy for distributing the weight :-) Magnetic Popper fastening which was seen as a negative in some reviews is a big plus for me as I knew I wouldn't be bothered faffing around with real buckles. I love the colour too, lovely Khaki. The size guide is a little misleading as a 7cm depth made me think it wouldn't hold all my stuff but when trying out a different bag in an M&S store that had a 7.5cm depth it was clear that it would be fine. Would definitely recommend this to everyone. I've been using it for about 2 weeks now and it is holding up to the challenge so the quality appears to be what you would expect from M&S and the price is reasonable for a bag that will be used everyday. All in all a great buy!
