Bourgogne Hautes-Cotes de Nuits - Case of 6
Sorry, this item is no longer available
A pure expression of Burgundian Pinot Noir perfume - violets and black cherries in the palette and soft, ripe-but-fresh blackcurrants finish with a hint of strawberries.
From grapes grown on the hillside next to Nuits-Saint-Georges where the wines are over 60 years old. The naturally concentrated grapes are cultivated without the use of chemicals or pesticides. This enhances the black fruit character and elegance that has epitomised the wine from the Côte de Nuits since around the 5th century AD.

A lovely wine, full of fruity flavours, easy to drink ether with food or on its own.

A good value French Pinot
Yes, I recommend this
A good example of Pinot Noir. Nice bouquet, medium bodied, smooth and silky on the palate, with a good fruity finish. Can be enjoyed on it's own or with food. Memorable for the right reasons.

Great value when reduced
Yes, I recommend this
Matthew Jukes is right. This is very Nuits in style and sensibly proportioned to offset the 2009 danger of over-ripeness so the wine is classically perfumed with subtle Pinot delicacy and finely balanced, stylish and lingering. At the 25% off deal it's as good a bargain as it gets from the Cotes d'Or. But I think it's now all gone?

A worthy successor

The 2007 was legendary but this comes trailing on its coat tails.Wonderful value for a cracking burgundy
