Luxury Pure Wool Jacket

Bought for my husband. It's good quality and generally looks nice - not the best cut or fit - but decided to keep.

Good smart coat. Warm in the cold weather. Slightly loose button on one pocket but easily fixable.

Such a great jacket but the sizing is wrong!

The coat was a lovely fit but my husband wasn't sure about the colour so back it went and we bought the chocolate tweed jacket, same style but with brown elbow patches. He is very happy with that. No problems with this jacket he just felt the colour wasn't right for him.

I found this jacket true to it's description, I don't think it was made for farmers to throw bales of hay around or muck out the pigs as some other reviewers would like. It is fashionable, smart and functional everything a dog walker like myself requires. I found it to be very warm and believe it will do it's job over the coming winter. ,

This is the first time in recent years that I have bought a coat from Marks and Spencers and was very pleased with my purchase. I thought it very stylish and with the right scarf and hat it will look great. The coat was well finished and the cost was a lot less than what I would have paid elsewhere. However, time will tell as to its durability.

So disappointing as it looks good in the photo. The husband gave it the thumbs down on poor styling, poor quality fabric and poor manufacture - where was quality control ? Last year he had a brilliant coat from M&S and would happily have purchased another if it had still been available. As a farmer he believes in investing in hardwearing quality garments so please M&S could you repeat the great coat you did A/W 2012.

As a working countryman I was delighted with last years M&S version of a shooting jacket. Unfortunately it was damaged beyond repair in problems we had during the floods last spring. I therefore looked forward with anticipation to this year's offering. I can only say that the current trend for funnel necks may be fashionable but are awful from a practical point of view. If they are done up they are restrictive and if left open the flaps get in the way. Quality wise they are great and if just worn for show they will still attract...
