About this bottle: California’s Sonoma County, stretching from the Pacific Ocean in the west to the Mayacamas Mountains in the east, is a region blessed by long dry summers. While its vineyards are swathed with sun in the days, at night cold fogs roll in from the Pacific through the Petaluma gap, cooling the grapes and preserving their freshness. The Chardonnay grapes for this wine were sourced from the Russian River and Dry Creek valleys, plus coastal vineyards. Lioco are part of a new breed of American wine producers who are rejecting over-extracted, over-ripe and over-oaked styles in favour of making wines characterised by their balance.
