Linen Blend Tailored Fit Jacket

Looks like this has sold out, so this is a review for M&S, more than for fellow customers. This is a 50% linen, 50% polyester jacket. Polyester is so versatile, and for all intents and purposes, this does feel like linen. The fabric is made by Fitome, and I think it's as good as Harris or any other reputable fabric maker. The colour, according to M&S, is "raspberry", but if you were served raspberries with this light purple colour, you'd return them. The fit is perfect, though there is slight flaring on the sleeves, that is, the end of the sleeve is larger than the midpoint between wrist and elbow. No big deal. The style is personal, but to me, it's outstanding. The colour is unusual, the fabric is linen-like, the buttons are cream, with yellowing, and, on the sleeve, they are overlaid a little (that's by design because it's on both sleeves). It's a heavier jacket than other pure line jackets, and it is generously lined. It's not winter, but it's not for the midday summer sun either. The value at full price is good, at the sale price, it was a steal. I bought this instore, and I'm guessing M&S has had more difficulty than it should selling this jacket, because it's not immediately obvious how to style it. Light chinos, or rich navy trousers and a white shirt are safe styling options. Maybe if M&S had illustrated suggested styling, it wouldn't have been so difficult to sell. Sadly, you don't often see such garments these days at M&S. Unusual, well-made, good fitting and reasonable value.

Very disappointed with the sleeves of jacket. I had two jackets. The first was returned because one sleeve did not fall right, it looked as if the lining was pulling. I reorded but the on the second jacket both sleeves were twisting, this jacket was returned. Very disappointing as I really liked the jacket.
