Linen Blend Nehru Collar Jacket

I liked the style, particularly because it can be closed at the front. Jackets that do not close flap about in the breeze and are irritating. The colour is dull, not helped by the poor quality of the material, which for me made it unacceptable. Grey is a colour which can be worn with almost every other colour without clashing and can be complementary. It was a disappointment.

This jacket is really lovely, the colour goes with most of my clothes. The fabric is linen but has a smart shine, you can dress it up or down. It looks good with buttons done which adds a more formal feel to it. I thought buttons looked a bit cheap but they blend well with the colour of the jacket.

This jacket did not live up to expectations. It did not look like the image on the website, I certainly would not pay the original price for it (ordered in sale). I have returned the product.

Sorry, I know this is from your classic collection but it really looks very mumsy once on. Not for me, it went back.

I bought the jacket online and collected it from store. When I got it home I found it had 2 highly visible marks/stains on the left sleeve. Style-wise it is really lovely but I was so disappointed and have to return it. It was also too big so need to change it for a smaller size. Whilst I was in store a couple were returning/replacing a man's (£129) jacket that was so badly made the lining was either bunched up above the vent at the back - making it look like the wearer was hiding a tail - or if the light blue satiny lining was smoothed out it hung below the hem of the black and white houndstooth fabric of the jacket making it look like the wearer's shirt tails were hanging out. The replacement that they had ordered was exactly the same! What on earth is happened to M&S's reputation for quality?

It was love at first sight with this jacket so I had to order it. I was not disappointed. Both my husband and elder daughter complimented me on my choice (my daughter, who is 35, saying that she would be happy to wear it). So far I have worn the jacket with a plain black dress and accessories or with black 7/8 linen mix trousers. Being 5 ft. 2 in. tall, the jacket is slightly long in the arms for me but the cut of the sleeve allows for turning back the cuff area without spoiling the look. At 20% off, the jacket was excellent value for money. I look forward to wearing it out to lunch with friends and family throughout the summer.
