Leather Tote Bag

The bag is exactly as described on line - it's a really good size, well made and strong.

I received this as a gift on line and at first was delighted with the colour and leather quality. However on it's third outing the handle fell off as the stitching had not been completed properly. I returned it to my local large store but was unable to find a replacement red one so have to order again and pay postage disappointing!

In the past I have bought 4 red leather bags from M&S - a small wheeled case, 2 weekend bags and a brief case. These have been great and I have used them on numerous occasions. I was delighted to see another red leather item in the range but this time I was disappointed. The bag is an attractive style and a good size however the quality of the leather is not as good as in my previous purchases. The bag contained a warning label referring to the possibility of colour transfer to lighter fabrics. Having already experienced this problem with a pair of Per Una jeans I did not wish to risk another occurrence. In addition the leather also had a slightly weathered look which I did not find attractive. I reluctantly returned the bag.

I am a fan of M&S leather bags but this one is by far the best quality yet. The leather is strong but soft and the zips and catch secure the contents well. Large enough to carry all my clutter for work work but stylish enough to use out of work - I really can't fault this bag at all.
