Best of British Leather Brogues

The quality of these Brogues is fantastic and I'm sure I'll wear them year after year so long as I look after them and resole them as per instructions. They look great with skinny jeans or a skater skirt. They make an average outfit look special. I found them a little slippy on shiny or polished floors but otherwise they are fab'. I'd rather pay for one pair of these and wear them a lot than buy a couple of pairs of cheap shoes with a shorter life span.

At last I own a pair of these fabulous brogues.Been unsure all summer after previous reviews but so glad I finally got them.As a size 4 they fit perfectly and look great not as I feared clumpy.Have worn them without socks,not a blister in sight and yet still feel comfortable with the tights I ordered to go with them for cooler days. No problem with the laces and the leather looks soft and expensive.The only slight blip is the price which I think is slightly high even given the good quality,I daren't tell my husband how much they were even though I got them for 20% off.Still lets hope they last for years to come,sure won't go out of fashion.

I have been waiting for these in white for ages since buying the tan ones but when they arrived they were just far too bright white which seems to make them look cheap. The tan ones are much classier and far more practical. They are also very stiff leather so need socks which is not a good look for white shoes!

Not too wide so had to get next size up, but they fit so well and are very comfortable as well as being stylish. Although the most expensive pair of shoes I have ever bought I love them!

This is my second pair of brogues - I bought the tan pair during the winter which have worn well and still look as good as new. I bought a size 7 (I'm usually 7 -7.5) and they fit well. Very comfortable, no problem with blisters when 'wearing them in' and very stylish too. They look equally good with trousers and skirts/dresses. I agree with a previous reviewer - the laces do appear quite cheap when compared with those on the previous pair of shoes. They seem to be synthetic rather than cotton/cotton mix which means they may unlace easily when being worn. (Attention to details is important at this price!) Overall a really good buy - stylish yet won't date.

I absolutely love these brogues. I'd been checking the website for several months, since i first saw them in Vogue, and was thrilled when they finally came in and ordered them straight away. The leather is quite stiff and, due to the tongue being stitched in on one side, you really need a shoe horn to put them on. But despite this, although I'm usually a size 6 in M&S shoes, these were very wide at the back. Sadly they don't come in half sizes so i ordered a 5 which i couldn't get on at all. I've bought two different pairs of insoles but they're still too wide. They are now sitting in their box in my bedroom because i love them too much to take them back but I don't think I'll be able to wear them until it's sock weather again. Such a shame as they'd look fabulous with a summer frock.

I bought these in tan before Easter and paid full price. They were expensive but beautifully made and I wanted some walking shoes with style. I used them to walk round Florence for four days without breaking them in. I didn't get any blisters and they were so comfortable. As a result I bought the white ones recently with 20% off and am delighted. They will last for years with good treatment, I think.

I have had my eye on these white brogues since I saw them in The Times magazine fashion page ages ago. I have the black pair which I bought in the sale last Autumn as the last pair available and I was hoping to get the white ones at a discount too. However, I gave in and paid full price even though I would never normally spend this much on a pair of shoes. I am delighted with them - they are absolutely beautiful, fit well and despite being a mannish style they do not look clumpy at all. I feel very stylish and trendy wearing these brogues and what's more, they are extremely comfortable to wear.

These shoes were stylish but not perfect. The join between the shoe and the sole was somewhat gathered on the inside, so not that noticeable, but not well made. The leather is not smooth like the picture ; the picture of the tan shoes is more accurate. The lace looked cheap and was not the same shade as the shoe. Shoe was comfortable and a good fit. Perhaps there is a reason why brogues tend to cost a great deal more than this.

These shoes are brilliant perfect fit for a wide size 6 i have looked at churches ladies brogues and these are class true to size well made look classy ...well done best of british worth every penny x
