Suede Block Heel Mid-calf Boots

These boots seemed comfortable and looked really nice. However, on opening the package there were several sticky marks on the toe of the right boot which were very noticeable so, sadly, I had to return them.

I've been waiting for weeks for these boots to cone back in. I was especially excited as I received a birthday discount email for 20% off. When I unpacked them after collecting from store, the stitching was ripped on front of one boot. The fit was perfect but I'm having to send back now and there are non left! Even if they were in stock, I will have lost my discount. Very disappointed with quality control m&s

I waited for weeks for these to come back into stock. The pair I received is a bit tatty, they’ve been pegged together at some stage, and this has marked the suede. They have obviously been around a bit as they’re not quite in pristine condition, but I love the style so much I am keeping them. However, what is really annoying are the sole stickers - two on each boot which are virtually welded on. Took an hour to scrape them off, and the waste of a costly manicure. The beige colour painted on the sole rubbed off along with the stickers! Must be mad keeping them, but oh so gorgeous. Bit tight in the foot (usually this size is a bit big on me) but I can forgive anything. But come on M and S, please sort out these abominable sole stickers!

Nice boot but unfortunately leg is very wide, and unflatteringly gaping at the top therefore had to return.

I had been waiting for ages for these to come back in to stock so was over the moon when I finally managed to order them, they are lovely quality suede, and very comfortable boots, and they literally go with everything so they are exactly what I needed. The only downside is because they are a pull on boot they can be very difficult to get on and off, I spent about 20 minutes getting them on the first time (I only persevered this long because I was desperate to have them) - this was a bit of a nuisance but they have started to loosen off a bit now, but just be wary of this if you do order them, patience and a shoe horn is required!

I nearly sent them back however because they were quite tight on my toes. I am an 8 and they don't come in a bigger size (I can normally get into a 7.5 in M&S). As they were just what I was looking for I decided to chance that they would stretch slightly and they did. The description says grey in colour and in natural daylight they are but look a mink colour indoors and in the photo. I don’t have the slimmest of calves but have no problem pulling them on as others have experienced.

Unfortunately no zip so an absolute nightmare to put on. I already have a pair of M&S tall boots so just went for these thinking they would be fine. As they have a bit of a heel they were too tight around the arch. They would have been very uncomfortable if worn for a longer time. A pity as they are very stylish and just what I was looking for. The lack of a zip is a big drawback.

I think these boots are the sort of colour that might in the noughties have been called "taupe". Nice suede and great styling, just the right height for all our midi skirts and dresses with the '70's vibe (if that's your thing). Pull on easily and look very nice. True to size though I put a gel half insole in for comfort. The heel is pretty clompy, yes it's a look I know, just be aware. I am really looking forward to wearing them.
