No VPL High Rise Shorts is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice material. I prefer this material, rather than the cotton pants which take too long to dry after washing and which go out of shape. Where have all the best fit & style of pants which M&S have had over the years? If I had known they would be discontinued I would have purchased in bulk. I always used to go to M&S for my favourite pants but will have to search elsewhere online to see what's available. Back to these pants...they have no side seams or leg elastic so would likely be invisible under tight trousers/skirts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High rise shorts 5 star rating throughout - exactly what I would expect from M&S.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very thin and no hold ie they fall down Really disappointed with these, I like the boyfit style but these are very thin and slippery with absolutely no hold. I ordered my normal size but they were either too big or the material was to slippery and so they kept falling down! Unused ones are being returned needless to say.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No VPL High Rise Shorts Very comfortable, they live up to their title. No lines whatsoever under leggings, jeans etc, I could perhaps have gone done a size or two as they are a generous fit. Very pleased with them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Black no VPL Love the material of these knickers. Very smooth. Feel they are slightly on the small side so would recommend going up a size.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from For heavens sake M&S, be consistent! Taking advantage of the special 3 for 2 deal, I ordered 6 of these, 3 in black, 3 in beige. I took note of the reviews and ordered down a size, a size 8 instead of my usual 10. "Excellent advice" I thought to myself as I tried on a pair, a good fit. I didn't bother trying on all of the six pairs, my trust in Marks and Spencer and their quality was resolute (although I did make sure to try on one of each colour beforehand, I'm not an idiot!)! All was well for the first three days, and I congratulated myself on finally finding a pair of knickers that were comfortable and didn't make the usual journey up my posterior!! However, then came day 4.... I decided on my third pair of beige that fateful day, and as it promised to be a sunny, but crisp day I decided to walk to work. I realised my terrible mistake halfway across a park when I began to feel a certain uncomfortable feeling in my nethers. The knickers had begun an inexorable climb into the cleft betwix my buttocks (this is M&S, I'm trying to keep it clean), and as they did so I began to feel the creep towards the front as well. It was too late to turn back homewards now, so I hobbled my way to work, occasionally hiding behind trees and lampposts to re-arrange myself. What followed was an extremely uncomfortable day at work, where, in desperation at facing the walk home, I found myself making the extraordinary decision of going commando (it's ok. I was wearing trousers). Subsequent pairs have been fine I'm happy to report, so yes, I would recommend these knickers. But the moral of this story is thus; IF YOU ARE BUYING MULTIPLE PAIRS, TRY THEM ALL ON. And my message to M&S? The clue is in the title.
