inconsistent sizing!!What is it with M&S and sizing? I bought 2 pairs of the dark jeans earlier this year (a few weeks apart) One pair was slightly bigger than the other but still ok. I've just ordered 2 pairs of the lighter colour and another dark pair. The lighter ones are ok, again one pair slightly "roomier" than the other - as for the dark pair - I couldn't even get them on!!! How can this be when they are all supposed to be the same size? I'm not impressed with your quality control M&S!!
I would recommend these jeans as good value with the above proviso.

Very similar to the 'old style' skinny jeansBearing in mind that jeans are a very individual thing, i was pleasantly surprised these jeans were not only excellent value but also a good fit for me. They do go a bit looser after a day or so in a good way. Not super skinny around the ankles, just a neat fit. I wear jeans a lot, even in my job. They wash well and are a lighter weight denim, drying easily. Liked them so much i bought two more pairs. At 5'3 the short length was too short and the regular a bit long but i'm rolling the hems for now. Recommend these brilliant value jeans

Very bigI ordered these in a 12L. At the same time I also ordered the Sculpt and Lift skinny jeans in the same size. Both are a generous fit with plenty of stretch. These jeans, however, are far too big all over. They are 1/2 inch wider at the waist, thigh, calf and in length than the same size sculpt and lift version! How can this be the case when they are both M&S collection size 12 Long? These jeans are very stretchy but they are far too big on me and will be going back - I may try on a size 10 to see if the proportions work better because the jeans are good quality, but I've not been a size 10 for about 20 years and this is a poor reflection on M&S sizing in this product.

Not that impressed...I have been buying my jeans from marks and spencers for a few years now. I usually buy the super skinny jeans, but I thought I'd try these for a change. The colour was just what I wanted but the fit isn't very flattering. They are baggy around the back of the knees and are more like straight jeans rather than skinnys. I bought a size long, but they only come to my ankle and are like a size short! To top it off, the material is like cardboard and not very comfortable. Can't really complain with the price, but think I will stick to the super skinnys in future. The material is much softer and actually fits you properly.

Sizing hopelessOrdered 12 and 14 for fit. Size 14 long too big but right length. Size 12 long fit, but much shorter than 14L so too short. Ordered another pair of 12L and these were right length but far too small so all three pairs returned. Total waste of time.

InconsistentOrdered these in size 10 online as I had already picked up the size 8 in store and wanted to compare fit. (Two local M&S stores had a dearth of jeans in anything smaller than a 12, but that's a separate rant). Disappointingly the 10s were a) a different colour (not nearly as nice as the 8s which have a subtle fade on the thigh) b)shorter (???) c) disproportionately larger around the thigh than the size 8s and d) felt like a different, stiffer, composition of fabric, though they were both 99% cotton.
I know stores don't necessarily get all their items from the same factory but I don't expect something being sold as the same item in two different sizes to be like two completely different pairs of jeans.
The 8s were lovely, the 10s went straight back - total waste of time and petrol clicking and collecting...and returning.

Skinny denim jeansFar too short - more like ankle skimmers and too big over all. I'm 5'10" and usually wear M&S long jeans which have been great in the past. I was very disappointed and sent them back

Nice jeans but...They tend to sag a little after being worn for a few hours, which is shame as they are nice jeans.
