The Relaxed Slim is loosely fitting through the hip and thigh, narrowing towards the bottom. Mid Rise sit 5cm below your natural waistline for a more relaxed look. Ankle length sits just below the ankle.

Best jeans ever!I have a athletic frame and struggle to get jeans to fit me properly on the legs, but these fit me perfectly. They are nearly identical to the relaxed skinny jeans I purchased in the summer which I also loved.
Great jeans if you want a tapered leg which skim legs that are a little wider, but would probably be too baggy if you have slim slender legs.
The material is great for jeans as its stretchy and fairly soft, with a higher waist band so they show no lumps or bumps. The fitting is on the larger size and I found I had to drop down a size.
Overall a great pair of fashionable jeans that are

Where are this year's cropped relaxed slim jeans? In common with many other reviewers of these jeans, I love them - perfect fit in both the indigo and black. I also had relaxed skinny cropped jeans last year and was looking forward to new ones.
Come on M and S - read these reviews - there are significant numbers of us out here who want the relaxed slim/skinny fit jeans. Others have said that M and S seem to be ignoring the folk who should still be some of their best customers.
This summer (when it arrives), I shall wear last year's cropped relaxed skinnys and cross my fingers that the winter jeans will include a range of relaxed skinny styles.

Go down a sizeComfortable even though they're slim fitting. Skinny jeans are normally too tight in the leg for me, but these were fine, even though they seemed to be exactly the same fit as a pair of Relaxed Skinny jeans in the same size that I ordered at the same time to compare them. The only real difference was that the Relaxed Slim were a different fabric, and slightly cheaper, so why have them labelled as two different fits, Slim and Skinny? Having tried a size 8, I had to buy a size 6 for them to fit properly (especially so as not to be baggy around the back of the waist, a frequent problem for me). I'm really NOT a size 6! - the way things are going, I'll be a size 0 at M&S before long, without having to diet...

Frustration!I bought 2 pairs of these in the summer and were delighted with the fit. Narrow but not the dreaded skinny and sitting sufficiently high at the waist to be comfortable for an over-60 like me.
The black ones I ordered came saying mid-rise and just didn't come anywhere close to my waist like the others which I feel is always very uncomfortable and necessitates hauling up a million times a day. They went back and I'm back searching for black denim material jeans that are high rise. Aaaarrrggghhh! Not everyone likes muffin tops as a fashion must.

Perfect jeansi love these jeans -- I am a size 12 leg but my tummy and waist are a size 14 so a relaxed fit seemed perfect>>??

Trousers and jeansUnfortunately I have not bought trousers or jeans ( bar a very comfortable pair of jogger bottoms) for some time. I used to be able to pick a size 16 short in a number of styles and they fitted me. In recent years this has not been the case. Size 18 swamps me and 16 is far too tight. My daughter has exactly the same problem, as do a number of friends, all different shapes and sizes and ages. I can walk into a rival store and pick any size 16 trousers and jeans and they fit perfectly - great shame M&S, we all think you are not looking after those that used to be your greatest fans. Food fantastic, clothes not so anymore.

Baggy after wearing for a few hoursI bought two pairs of these, one early in the year and a second because I liked them. The first has soft stretchy material but has developed tears at the top side of each pocket (4 in all) where the pocket is stronger than the material its attached to - I like them so have kept repairing them rather than returning.
The second pair was noticeably heavier fabric - like old denim - these did not fit quite as well however after a couple of hours they were so big I could take them off without unzipping them (like someone else said). I will return them to store as poor quality and faulty.

Design Fault - Splits at back pocketReally disappointed in these jeans, I bought two pairs and both pairs have split at the back pocket after 3 months and this is wearing them not on a regular day to day basis. I have noticed on other reviews of M&S jeans that this problem has happened to other customers. However if you do not mind paying for short life span jean and showing your underwear, they are a really great fitting jean and very comfortable, I am really sad as I thought I had found the perfect jeans for a curvy shape.Hopefully they can fix this problem without changing the style of jean.
