Odd SizingI am normally a size 18 in any trousers I buy in M&S. I bought the size 18 a couple of weeks ago and they were pretty tight! I then went on to read reviews (something I should have done prior to buying them!).
Anyway, it was obvious that many others had found the same problem and the recommendations were to buy one size up. So, because I really love the style of these trousers, I ordered a size 20, thinking they would be better. Wrong! They were far too big and kept falling down. Seems like I can't win with these which is such a pity and very strange. I do like the trousers but the fit is very odd!

A few gripes....I do like these pants, they're more substantial than leggings and a more flattering fit but I have a few gripes... firstly I bought a pair in store and was happy with the short length as they fit my rather short legs perfectly, however......I ordered another 2 pairs online and although they are supposedly the same item the leg length was approximately 2 inches longer, which is rather annoying, there is no consistency with the leg lengths I have experienced this with the jeans also - no 2 pairs are ever the Same! Although this item is easy to wash and iron I was appalled at the 2 hems becoming unstitched and the waist band thread coming loose after the last wash, a quality issue which should be brought to your attention.

So disappointed with new cut! What has happened to the lovely stretch pull on bootleg trousers from M&S? I have 9 pairs from previous purchases that looked great, and were so comfortable and flattering. I could wear them anywhere.
I bought these bootleg trousers recently with the stretchy waistband. I have always liked these as I cannot do zips up due to filling out a little around the waist, but found with this new cut I could not get my legs inside! and I am a size 16
Why would anyone want to buy elasticated waisted trousers for comfort only to find that the trousers are so tight around the tops of the legs? it dosent make sense
not all over 50s have slim legs like models!
Please please re-instate the other bootleg trousers!! I used to buy 3 pairs at a time.

Changed the stlyle for the worstAlways buy bootleg jersey trousers from m&s but find they have now changed the style so that now the legs are very slim and impossible to pull on due to being too narrow, tried a bigger size but just look ridiculous when the legs are so tight. Really dismayed that they have changed the style because in the past they were so comfy to pull on and looked good, please go back to previous style as now I need to find another company
who makes something similar to previous style.

Pull on slim cut boot leg jersery trousersI was very disappointed with these new slim cut trousers. The fit is too tight. The legs are too tight and I ordered my usual size but had trouble putting them on over my hips. I won't be buying anymore of these trousers
Please M&S bring back the old style pull on boot cut trousers as they were great, very comfortable and easy to wear. I used to buy many pairs of these trousers as they were great value for money.
Please consider the needs of your loyal customers and bring the old regular boot cut trousers back.

My go to trousersOther than a similar pair of bootlegs I bought many years ago from M&S I have never found any other trousers from this store that came any where close to fitting in recent years. Too big, too long, too short and lack of my usual size 6 P. until I found these. Bought in 8 short they are almost perfect so suspect they come up on the small side Comfortable to wear for daily chores but also smart enough for a quick trip to the shops and they don't seem to stretch out of shape as badly as others of this material. They also launder very well and a big plus, no ironing needed. Well done M&S! Please make these in more colour's and perhaps a heavier material for more formal occasions. PS bought 4 pairs.

Very pleased with these!I ordered these for my Mum but when I tried them on for size (we're about the same size) I was so impressed that I ordered a pair for myself! They fit very well, I'm about 5 foot 1 and the short is a perfect length. The waist is about an average size 10, the fit over the hips/thighs is maybe on the small side for a 10 - this actually works well with me as my waist is big in proportion to my hips and thighs! I love the bootcut style, which suits me; as this style isn't the height of fashion right now it can be hard to find, so I was really pleased to locate these. A very good price too.

Jersey boot-cut trousers (short leg)I love the bootcut style of these trousers. Very happy with the quality, and comfort. However, I had always understood a "short" length to mean a 27 inch inside leg. M&S now have the short length to be a 29 inch leg. I am very dismayed by this. I am 5 foot 2 inches. A 29 inch trouser leg drags on the floor, and I think it looks silly. M&S now call a 27 inch leg "extra short". Thats all very well, but you can only get "extra short" in the "petite" range - and the petite range does not have bootcut trousers! Doh! M&S if you must do these changes, then do a bootcut trouser in the petite range.
