Boys school trousers flat front slim lineOur grandson started school Sept.and I have a standing joke with my daughter in law as we buy most of his clothing from M&S.I joked no grandson of ours would wear clothes from local well known supermarket for school uniform. We purchased all necessary from M&S everything perfectly wears well, except your boys trousers. She took great delight to show me,firstly I had to resew front part of crutch on two pairs, and two pairs went in holes in his knees. She has a photograph of these which I was going to send to you .She purchased an extra pair herself from supermarket which show no sign of wear at all.I trust your store and was very shocked to see her prove me wrong on your trousers.

Big on the hips and bumThis year M & S discontinued the slim fit school trouser that we had been a repeat purchaser of. So, since these are the only other slim fit trouser they sell for younger boys, I bought a pair. Sadly, whilst the leg was nice and slim, the bum and hips sagged out on my seven year old son, as there was too much material in these areas. He has a lot to say about his clothes, and picks everything himself, and he absolutely refused to wear these, for that reason. Other than this, they are good quality and good value for money. M&S please bring back the slim fit trouser, they were perfect for slimmer boys!

Mrs ClarksonI buy my grandson /granddaughter's new school uniforms every year. My grandson is very slim & l hate to see them all bunched up at the back! Your slim fit pants are perfect for him, great quality. I'll also let you into a secret! After Easter l cut them off just bellow the knee, hem them, & he has 3 pairs of slim fit shorts that last all summer! Can't get better value than that! See you in M&S.

School trousers - Year ROur Son started school in September and I was pleased we found these lovely little trousers. We bought age 3-4 years as our Son is not very tall and has a slim build. The trousers look very smart and are adjustable on each side of the waist - brilliant! The length on the legs can also be let down if there's a growth spurt - brilliant!
However in a matter of weeks the knees have become very soft and two pairs now have holes in them. To be honest I'm not very impressed as I thought they would've lasted longer. I've just ordered three more pairs to replace them as I haven't got time to look elsewhere. I would recommend if your Son doesn't spend much time on his knees!

Great slim-fitI always seek out these slim fit trousers for my boys, both of whom are of slim build, as they fit much better than standard trousers.
The crease is great, really easy to iron back in, and in the past, I have used the adjustable hems to turn them down and thus get extra wear.
My only concern is that this is the second lot of these trousers I've bought in this school year as the others worr through on the knees, so I'm not sure whether the quality has got worse. In fairness though, they do get lots of hammer from two active little boys.

Not sure what’s slim...I purchased these for my slim 8 year old. I measured him as per the size guide, but ended up going with the next size down (I bought two sizes for choice of fit). Even so, they are adjusted to the smallest waist possible. The leg, seat and cut just does not seem to be slim cut at all, to the extent that I checked the label in the trousers a number of times to make sure they were not standard fit.
The overall effect resembles clowns trousers. However, Brown School trousers are a rare commodity and these are excellent quality and a very reasonable price.
Star rating is predominately for the quality and price

New term uniformI have always purchased school uniform from M&S. For the last 30 years with children and grandchildren. Whilst this item serves it's purpose, I have noted that the quality has gone down. Plain trousers now. Previously the item had zips across pockets and small pockets inside larger ones. This was useful for dinner money etc. I assume the coated finish is the 'storm wear'. This makes the trousers stiff. I have always found uniform products washed well and kept their appearance for the 12 months in use. We shall see if these match their predecessors.

School trousersI have a short 3 year old so bought size 2-3 which fits perfectly, and the hem can also drop so we can use them for longer. Great fit even though it says slim fit, I have to wonder how big the regular fit is. This cut is perfect as my child is also very slim.
Wanted trousers that didn't have buttons or zips and this one is a pull on one. Perfect for pre school children like mine.
They are very light so can still wear in summer and won't get hot. Quality not as it used to be but still happy as it's the only pull on I could get. Pity they are not sold as a 2 pack. Quite pricey for 1 pair and I bought 4
