Jacquard Coat

I ordered this on line, and the fabric is very poor quality and looks like it'll never be crease free. It's gone straight back. When trying it on, it felt a bit like a doctors coat and was really unflattering. Very poor fabric. Would not recommend, even to my doctor!

Gorgeous coat - at last in a size 6 (the 8 drowned me) but the size 6 had to go back too - the whole shape and darts were meant for a much bigger shape. I love M&S but have had to return so much due to fit problems, even though now more size 6 clothes are available, as they are just too big. I am 5'4" and 8 stone so not exactly skinny or an odd shape. PLEASE PLEASE look at your sizing

A very nice coat for the summer. Lovely fabric, style and good quality. It is big - so think about going down one size from your normal fit. It would have been better if the coat had shoulder pads (most coats do!).

First seen this on a mannequin and thought it was stunning, and would have gone nicely with a pastel green lace dress I had for an upcoming wedding.Had to wait until after pay day to buy, by that time all the shops, and online, had ran out in the size I wanted so bought the bigger size (wanted a smaller size as my usual size was too big). However, FINALLY managed to find the size I wanted and wore it to the wedding. Got lots of lovely complements on the coat. So glad I bought it!

I have wanted a cream coat or jacket for a long time but not the dry cleaning bill! This coat is washable and just what I wanted. I am usually a 10 but the 8 was plenty big enough and quite roomy around the bust. All in all I am very pleased with this coat and it looks much better in reality than on the website.

I ordered the coat as was going to London for the weekend and thought it would be smart, not too warm and spring like. The cut of the coat was not flattering - the shoulders had no shape and under the arms was baggy. The main problem however was that when the coat was fastened it didn't lie flat across the pockets - it was OK when unbuttoned but once done up looked like an ill-fitting doctors overall! Really disappointed as had it been nicer on it would have been ideal - doesn't crease so would have been great for travelling and for carrying around when it was sunny.

This coat looked great on the web - but - was a really poor fit. I am quite busty and it gaped dreadfully as the top button is quite low. Also, it was not shaped into the waist as much as I expected from the photos. I was disappointed as I wanted to wear it for a late summer wedding. Back to the drawing board!

A fabulous-looking light-weight coat, bought to see me through various summer functions, one of its best features is that it's washable. The body length is just right although the sleeve length is a couple of inches too long. The price would doubtless exceed £100 if I had the sleeves altered. I would then consider it an expensive purchase when compared with other womenswear brands. I am 5' 4" and bought a size 12. A little snug, but tried it over a dress and thin cardi and I can still fasten it - just - without it pulling. My usual size - 14 - was far too big on the bust and shoulders, although a better fit round the hips. Still pondering whether or not to keep.

Saw this in store and fell in love with it straightaway! Quite a big fit but no worries.....just bought size 12 instead of 14. Looks lovely on.....perfect for now and will still be great into the autumn. Very nice material and not very bright white. And not dead cream. Just perfect!! Nice jacquard pattern, pockets in perfect position. Thank you! More like this please M&S :)
