Harris Tweed British Fabric Pure Wool Coat

Bought this deeply discounted in the sale, and I got an absolute bargain. Harris Tweed comes with an almighty reputation, handwoven in specific parts of Scotland and at one point, even being traded as currency. Its main features are warmth and colouring (hints of the Autumnal colours). This particular coat looks a bright blue in the photographs but I certainly couldn't reproduce that colour, in any light. It's a drab colour, and I would say it was predominantly brownish. The fit is perfect under a jumper and shirt. Would be a bit tight with a thick jumper or a jacket. The coat comes to just above the knee. The style is okay, the pockets are functional and not just cosmetic. It is warm whilst not too thick and bulky. Overall, I was disappointed given the hype surrounding Harris Tweed. For a pure wool coat, I'd pay around half the full price. As I got it deeply discounted, I am delighted though.

At any other retailer you would pay triple for a coat of such quality. The official Harris Tweed label says it all. This coat is an absolute bargain. Beautifully designed and cut in a wonderful charcoal checked material with a superb lining this coat is genuinely brilliant. It is warm, very classic looking but with a modern twist and exudes quality. Don't know how you sell such a quality coat at this price.

The materiel was scratchy but this seem to reduce with wear.I bought this for it's classic looks. It is well made.I bought it on the internet but had to go to a shop (Westfield ) to remove the "shoplifting prevention tag".

Absolutely class coat. Bought it for the cold winter months and it has kept me warm, fits brilliantly and is stylish. Some quotes: "You look like a real man about town" - My ex's nan "That is a great coat" - Operations Director at work

I was looking for a smart overcoat and was delighted to see this one during an M&S website search. Delivery was, as always, prompt and the packaging is excellent.

I bought this for my Husband's Christmas and as he is tall & xxl he had to try it on before it got wrapped up, it is perfect, he loves it. Any man who likes a coat will be thrilled to wear this one which is beautifully made, a brilliant partnership of M&S and Harris Tweed, well done...
