Frilled Cuff Striped T-Shirt

Being petite it is often difficult to get on trend tops to fit properly. This style and length is great and I love wearing it with high waisted jeans.

Disappointing product. Looks great on the hanger but the shape and sizing is very wierd. I am usually a size 8 and even the 12 i am busting out of. Then it hangs strangely around the neck and its struggling to sit on my shoulders which are v narrow. Wish i hadnt cut the label off now as cant return and after 2 hours of wearing this I have given up and changed.

I thought this t shirt was really modern, although I am mid sixties I don't like to look old fashioned. Most of the M&S t shirts for older women are boring and shapeless. However, this is obviously made for the young and slim (although I ordered an 18). It needed less lycra, Marks should know by now this is the horror of the older women, we tend to be larger on top. However, I don't want one down to my knees. I nice boxy shape would be ideal just covering the waist and top of the tummy. I have a light summer rain jacket from M&S bought earlier this year which is a great fit and very stylish. T shirt returned.

I do normally like a high neck but something about the proportions of this were slightly off for me. I understand it's meant to be high necked and a bit retro looking but it was a little squares in the shoulders and despite frills on cuffs and hem, looked a little more masculine than I was expecting. Just personal though and had I not got another M&S stripy top that I preferred in the same delivery, I might have kept it.

As per usual with the Limited Edition range, I bought a size bigger than I would usually (I always find the sizings a bit snug). A pretty top and good value for £15 but too short for me - think if I'd have kept it I would have constantly been pulling it down. 1 to 2" longer and it would've been perfect! I think that M&S needs to recognise that however much the company might want it, its typical customers are not youngsters wanting to expose their midriff but ladies of 30+ who still want to be fashionable but just appreciate that extra bit of length to hide minor lumps and bumps!
