Can see why they are called magic. They are very slimming just a bit too expensive.

First time ever I have bought support pants and very disappointed. Size 10 and bought to go under a tight fitting dress to give me more definiiton and flatness on the tummy and waist. I looked better without them on. Waste of money.

Bought these control pants hoping to give my bottom a better shape, but didn't think they were any improvement on ordinary briefs.
Returned them as I thought they were expensive for what they were.

I purchased these after reading reviews, and wanting shapewear to flatten my lower abdomen under a figure hugging dress. I ordered my usual size. However, they were very snug, they did flatten my stomach but there was a mushroom effect above the waistband despite the description saying that this does not happen, so all that happened was that the "bulge" was moved to another area which would have been equally as visible. Also the low leg created the same effect with my upper thighs and were too tight. I have since ordered a size bigger and gone for the high leg option, which are better and less expensive. Incidentally, when it came to the event, some straight forward short style knickers were actually much better under my dress.

Well made, comfortable, tummy flattening and a good length - these most certainly do the job for which they're designed and can be worn all day without making a lady feel as though she wants to rip them off.
However in jumpsuits, trousers, dresses etc I am always an M&S SIZE 12... BUT in these knickers I am a size 16. The two sizes below which I tried were cut far too small on the waist and the thigh-top, making them ridiculously uncomfortable. So do buy them as they're a terrific control knicker, but go up at least one or maybe even 2 sizes.
