Embroidered & Faux Fur Trim Coat

I wasn't sure about the item as some reviews have stated that it looks cheap and badly made, yet this is just not true! The item is a little more expensive than normal for M&S coats but it's well worth the price. The embroidery is perfect , not at all dull, Im normally a size 6 but went for the 8 to allow the option for layers, its not to oversized and fits me perfectly to allow a jumper underneath. Also I see a lot of the reviews are from over 40s yet Im 22 and I love the product, It's a classic piece so there is not age restriction. I Just received it today and couldn't be more pleased! Super excited to wear it for the festive season!

I got this coat while there was 20 percent off which was good as I think it's a bit over priced as it's not wool. Lovely fit I got one size up for comfort but it is true to size. Fur is good quality and hold trim a bit different. Overall I'm pleased and have kept it.

The lovely gold embroidery makes this coat really stand out from the crowd. It looks equally as nice without the fur collar. I love the fact that the two sides of the collar meet quite high up meaning you don't need a scarf to keep out the cold. It looks fantastic with my black suede boots. I love this coat, the size 8 fits perfectly & comes mid calf on my 5' 3 frame, definitely a coat to keep for special occasions as it is very elegant, classy & dressy and as other reviews state the gold braid is subtle not a brassy gold The material is very comfortable to wear & the fur collar finishes the coat off beautifully, a great buy

Not the sort of coat I would use for everyday, but great for special occasions, going out etc. Excellent fit, true to size. You can take the collar off but actually I don't think it is anything like as good a shape without it. Bought it to go to a winter wedding for which it is perfect.

This is a lovely coat , it fits me perfectly bought a size 22 and I am usually a 22 when buying per una coats , lovely detail , nice fur collar for £150 good value to for the coat . Very very pleased and had lots of compliments

I honestly don't know what coat the negative reviewers are talking about. True, the coat does come up small and I would advise to size up. Perhaps the style is not for everyone (or for everyone's shape) but I think it a stunning coat! As for "velvet" which other reviewers have mentioned, I could not see this mentioned in the description so perhaps it has been removed because the coat is indeed not velvet. While I am disappointed that the fabric does not have any wool content so as to make it warmer, the fabric is nonetheless soft and rather nice though I agree that the coat is rather pricey for a man-made material. In terms of design concept and style it is very much reminiscent of a Vivien Alexander coat and I love it! The length is also lovely. I am 5'9'' and the coat comes just below the knee. A beautiful, elegant, feminine coat!

gorgeous subtle embroidery detail along the bottom and cuffs - great style but material is def NOT velvet as in the description - its is a smooth wool mixture type fabric - sadly I had to return my coat as it did not fit - very small fitting - my advice would be to order a size bigger than you usually wear - bit over priced but if it had fit i would have kept it
