A gorgeous smoky Malbec with a vivid violet colour and intense aromas of plum and cherry. In the mouth it is silky smooth, with an abundance of dark fruit flavours over subtle tannins and a round and harmonious finish.
This Malbec is from the San Rafael area of Mendoza, one of the cooler parts of Argentina’s world-famous region. Grapes ripen slower in San Rafael, developing brighter fruit flavours and aromatics, especially in the vineyards of Rama Caida, one of the coolest areas in San Rafael, where the vines grow at 760 metres. Winemaker Facundo Pereira sourced only hand-picked grapes, using gentle winemaking techniques to extract as much freshness and fragrance from the fruit as possible, then enriching the wine in oak for six months prior to bottling.
