Curiosity Task Table Lamp

Bought two of these when they were in the Sale, but didn't put them to use immediately - kept them safely boxed for when we might need them. Very disappointed to find, when I did begin to use one, that the plastic bulb-holder soon broke away from its (very fragile) mountings and could not be replaced. Whole lamp useless for the sake of a failed component which might cost £1 but (with this design) can't be replaced. Most unusually, M&S unable/unwilling to do anything - it's an obsolete item, so tough luck.

Not sure why this item was in the sale but it was reduced from £79 to £41 when I bought it and was just what I wanted from a functional lamp. It's simple and does the job so to me represents very good value. Was a bit disappointed to see that it had been reduced by a further £10 in the sale but I suppose that's life!! I think it was a bit overpriced at its original price.
