Curiosity Bird Table Lamp

Bought this in sale and am really delighted with it. It is much nicer than the picture implies and would look lovely in anyone's hall or living room.

I bought this lamp in the sale for under £20. For the money it is of brilliant quality, very heavy base (the cat won't be able to knock this one over during her gallopy turns). The bird has a rather strange face though, not very realistic... but I can live with that, as otherwise he is quite charming. The issue that I do have, is that the shade is not white as it clearly IS, in the photos. It is actually a dark cream colour. Still a nice shade, but if you want a white shade, avoid this.

Not top quality bronze castings, but a cute resin copy and perfectly good for the price. The linen shades are a bonus, casting an attractively soft light. I started with just one, but eventually bought a pair as bedside lamps. Very pleased.

We have put this lamp on our piano which is placed on the first floor close to the stairs and not only does it give a good light for the piano player but also a lovely light down the staircase.
