Contrast Print Maxi Kaftan

Really liked the print, thought it would be good for holidays as a cover up, but found it too long, very shapeless and rather see through. The fit did not suit me at all. Returned it.

Very pretty. It is supposed to be loose and it is. I sometimes buy a larger size for hot weather, but didn't need to.

This looked fine on line. In reality, the fabric feels cheap and likely to be sticky and sweaty on a hot day! The sizing is not accurate. The kaftan is huge and very long. I am 5ft 6 tall and with heels this is still about 2 inches too long. I cannot think of any time I would want to wear this!

I am a size 12 so I ordered a small this was so big it's a shame because it's so pretty and long which is good as all kaftans seem to come to the knees.

It feels light and fresh over a swimsuit. A really glamorous cover up for beach or cruise. Will wear from beach to bar and feel wonderful.

I ordered this kaftan together with the matching swimsuit for a really stylish beach ensemble. I loved the print and the style of the garment, but it was huge. I had dithered about whether to order a medium or a small size online, but opted in the end for 'Small'. I am 5ft 4 inches tall, an M&S size 10 or 12 depending on type of garment, and just over 9st in weight. The kaftan reached down to the floor on me, longer even than ankle length, which would have been ideal, and it was also very voluminous. It was very large across the top and shoulders, the 'v' neck coming below the top of the swimsuit I was wearing under it, and so wide that it was almost falling off my shoulders. If I had kept it, which I really wanted to do, I would have had to shorten the length, and have the shoulder seams adjusted. Reluctantly, I have returned the kaftan to M&S by post, but with a query about the size. It is just possible that this particular garment had somehow been wrongly sized and that they will be able to supply me with a smaller version of the 'Small' size. I do very much hope so as I loved the styling. For larger customers, check on the size before you buy, or perhaps order a size down. Further reviews on this kaftan will either confirm that mine was a one off, or that other people will have found the same problem as regards the sizing of the garment.
