Checked Wrap Kilt Mini Skirt with New Wool

This skirt is well made and very stylish. It has a very good lining and is great for work. Very good buy at the right price.

A fine skirt in a lovely wool-rich fabric and machine washable. It's well-made and the checks actually match up which is not always the case. I usually hate these outside zips but it actually works on this (although it didn't work on the tartan skirt in the same style earlier this season - it just looked plain wrong!). Although I'm usually a 10 I also ordered a 12 as M&S sizing has become so inconsistent and I didn't want to be disappointed. There was less than 2cm difference in the waist and the 10 is on the large side as it sits on my hips. The 12 has been returned so if you're after one, keep your eyes peeled! What would have been helpful, M&S, as I've said before, is the length in the description - 19 ins, as it says on the tag! I'd love to see more in this length.

This skirt is fabulous. Everytime I wear it people compliment me. The styling and fabric look and feel much more expensive than it's £39.50 price tag. Well done M & S !!

I ordered this skirt online as it was similar to one I saw in store. The in store version had lurex thread and was not as nice so it went back. However I love this skirt. Nice fine material and hangs lovely. I love the asymmetrical line and it reminds me of the Punk era. A subtle nod to retro fashion. I will wear it with black turtle neck and long boots. A real find.

As I am 5 foot tall this skirt comes to the top of my knee. It looks really smart and is good quality fabric.

Size 10 fitted well but waist a little too large. Overall nice garment and quality good.

Just got this skirt and it's great! The weight is perfect for winter, and it's lined too. It looks smart with shoes or boots, and I just hope it keeps its look when washed/cleaned...I've yet to see. I got the size 12, but in all honesty I'm a bit larger than that in other shops. I was concerned when I ordered this "mini skirt" that it might be too short on me (a 'mature' woman a tad over 5' 3") but it is perfect, it sits just above my knee at a good length........so the model in the above picture must be quite tall which is misleading - M&S please take note!!
