Full of rich, smoky cherry fruit, this red really bursts with luscious, satin-like Merlot characteristics. But there's an edge of pencil-lead minerality and classic Cabernet Sauvignon structure here too, and a bracing smoky tannin that gives this wine a tantalising edge.
A wonderfully lavish Merlot-based red that celebrates the best of Bordeaux’ treasure-trove of fruit characteristics. While there’s plenty of natural structure here (from Cabernet Sauvignon, which makes up the smaller part of the blend, 30%), the winemaking team have not weighed this red down with heavy oak notes, but used a cool, controlled fermentation in stainless steel, to preserve the best possible plum and cherry flavours.
