Wool Blend Cable Knit Fit & Flare Dress

I have this in grey. I have to agree with the first review. So much so that instead of wearing this dress for 'special occasions' I now pull it on as an 'every day' dress. It looks so nice in the photo but really looses its shape and is more like an oversized jumper. I am 5'7" and would have preferred the dress to have been a little longer.

Really loved this dress, the fit, the style everything! However, after wearing this out for lunch one day, felt really bad as the dress back became misshapen and hung inches below the front hemline. I/it looked a mess! Unfortunately a waste of money.

I thought this dress was expensive for what it was. The fit was goog but it came up a bit too short for me.

Very nice dress but the colour is less petrol and more jade.

I was disappointed with this dress. I went for a smaller size than I usually go for as I had read the first review which suggested the dress came up large, ( it does) but I wasn't prepared for how shapeless the dress is. It doesn't come in at the waist at all but just seemed to fall from just below my bust. I am not particularly curvy but I do have some waist, but this dress just made me look like one solid block. A shame as the colour is good, and it would have been very comfortable. On length - I'm 5' 8" and I didn't think it was too short. I would have needed a slip though as it would cling with tights.

The photographs suggests a lovely dress, which it is although a bit on the large size. However there is no way that the dress is knee length as suggested on the model, who apparently is 5'8" which is my height. The dress length is halfway up my thigh and the sleeves end at the elbow. Come on M&S enough of the above knee dresses or make a long length as well - you do it for you trousers and skirts so why not for your dresses. I have not had one successful dress purchase from you this season, they are all too short. So once again back it goes.

I am glad that Marks have bought out another colour in this dress. Great to see a knitted dress that suits the more curvy women unlike the tunic styles. Not surprised that it sold out quickly as with the 20% it represents good value and a better buy than a jumper. I don't mind that a dress is not lined. What I do mind is that it was nigh on impossible to get a short length (19) in a full slip to go under the dress. They were all out of stock. Same with maxis. Come on Marks you are selling the dresses so what about the slips? Not everyone wants shape wear.
