Say hello to the yuzu, a Japanese citrus fruit and star of our Summer of Flavour range. Its tartness will add zing to your menu, says M& food & wine editor, Becky Sunshine.

The new favourite fruit of top chefs is the fragrant yuzu citrus fruit from Japan, which tastes of a mix of lemon, mandarin and grapefruit. A highlight of our Summer of Flavour range, it can be found in a selection of products, including the Yuzu and Passion Fruit Yoghurt – great drizzled over griddled nectarines. Try, too, the Brazilian Pink Guava and Asian Yuzu Pressé, a fruity refresher; just add a dash of vodka and a few sprigs of fresh mint for a sparkling summer cocktail. Oh, and in case you needed another excuse to give yuzu a go, the fruit is super healthy with, it’s said, three-times more vitamin C than a lemon.
