The flat sandal is back. This was the news that stopped the fashion press in their tracks this season, as chunky buckled styles with ergonomic soles stomped down the catwalks from London to Milan. Often, such high-end trends have little to do with kidswear, but this one is a whole different story. Heavy-duty sandals being back in fashion is great news for little feet. It means a pair like this – with soft-leather double straps to keep him secure and a sculpted sole for support – is instantly on trend. He might be more preoccupied with the fun cartoon critters printed on the inner soles, but you can rest assured he’ll look ultra cool all summer.
