MAKE TIME FOR TEA

It’s almost Afternoon Tea Week (14-20 August), the perfect time to sit back, relax and indulge in this most British of traditions with our selection of sweet choux pastry mouthfuls

First popularised as a pick-me-up by the seventh Duchess of Bedford in the early nineteenth century, afternoon tea has become a quintessentially British pastime – and now there’s an entire week dedicated to celebrating the art of taking tea. Make sure you make time for a proper tea this year and break out the good china for our set of 12 feather-light choux buns. Each crisp golden bite is filled with smooth vanilla crème pâtissière and topped with either chocolate, lemon meringue, salted caramel or raspberry icing. Just add a freshly brewed pot of tea and something savoury, like our elegant afternoon tea sandwich fingers, and you’ve got a spread worth sharing.
