BRING THE OUTDOORS IN

Create your own indoor still-life display and help your home stay connected to nature this season

Autumn brings with it the best bits of indoor living, from hearty home cooking to snuggling on the sofa. But with less opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, it’s also a good time to bring nature into your home. Try the tips below for a dramatic, low-maintenance foliage display.

1. Collect evergreen foliage on country walks or in the garden, or separate your favourite greenery from a mixed bouquet, picking a variety of heights.

2. Ferns, eucalyptus or other leafy fronds look good, as well as tall, elegant twigs.

3. Choose your vases carefully – pick natural colours and a mix of shapes and materials. I love the glass bottle vase and Loft ceramic vase shown here.
