Vintage: 2017

The Margaret River region, on the coast of Western Australia, is world renowned for its elegant, well-balanced wines. This wonderfully fruity, yet smooth red is typical of the region's style, with ripe, rich yet fresh flavours of cassis and plum with subtle hints of clove and vanilla.

About this bottle: The beautiful region of Margaret River lies south of the city of Perth on the south-west tip of Australia. The finesse and excellent balance of its famous red blends is mainly due to the sunny but relatively cool maritime climate. This wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with mainly Shiraz and a little Merlot, and it perfectly captures the character of premium Margaret River reds. Winemaker Richard Rowe aged it in oak for 18 months for light spicy notes.

A refreshing and fruity white Burgundy made from the Chardonnay grape variety.

About this bottle: This well balanced Chardonnay if from the heart of the Burgundy region, where local wineamker Alain Pierre aged a small portion of the wine in oak to give it extra richness and body.

A wonderfully elegant dry Pinot Grigio with subtle yet concentrated flavours of ripe lemons, pears and wild herbs.

About this bottle: This delicate but complex white was made by M&S winemaker Jeneve Williams and local expert Luciano Piona using Pinot Grigio grapes grown around Lake Garda in northern Italy. The mild and temperate climate here allows the grapes to ripen gently and attain an excellent balance of sweetness, acidity and minerality, which the winemakers have expressed perfectly in this wine.

Vintage: 2011

Smooth, velvety Spanish red, with medium-bodied flavours of black cherry, strawberry and vanilla spice lingering into a long, complex finish with subtle notes of tobacco and star anise.

About this bottle: This velvety Spanish red is made by Marcelo Morales using the local Garnacha, empranillo and Cariñena grapes grown in Cariñena in northeast Spain. Matured in oak the wine may have harmless sediment in the bottle. At its best within 2 years.

A lively and refreshing Sauvignon Blanc with flavours of guava, cut grass and dried wild herbs.

About this bottle: A lively and refreshing Sauvignon Blanc from Chile's Casblanca Valley, well known for producing delightfully elegant and vibrant white wines such as this thanks to its proximity to the cooling Pacific Ocean.

Vintage: 2019

A deep, full-bodied red with generous cherry and chocolate aromas over a richly structured plum and vanilla palate.

About this bottle: Produced in the very south of Italy where the hot Mediterranean sun is tempered by the scirocco winds, this wine was crafted by local expert Caterina Bellanova and Davide Ragusa. This premium Primitivo is matured in French and American oak barrels for six months to smooth its opulent flavours. Drinking well now and for several years to come.

A mouth-watering, light-bodied red, exhibiting redcurrant and cherry aromas and a fine, silky flavour and texture.

About this bottle: M&S winemaker Sue Daniels has worked with Laurent Chevalier to craft a modern juicy wine, free from any oak ageing, from seven hectares of exceptional Gamay grapes in southern Burgundy. Côteaux Bourguignons is an exciting new regional appellation, giving the Burgundian winemakers much greater flexibility to experiment and produce the best wine from their land. Like many high quality wines, this Burgundy has been made as naturally as possible to enhance the flavour, so the bottom of the bottle may contain a small, harmless sediment.

A refreshingly dry white, scented with uplifting May blossom and grapefruit aromas followed by juicy lime flavours and a twist of spice.

About this bottle: Internationally renowned winemaker John Worontschak at Denbies Wine Estate to classic English varietal blend. The vineyards were established on the warm south facing chalky slopes of the North Downs in Surrey, encouraging the grapes to ripen in the cool English climate, whilst still retaining a lovely freshness.

About this bottle: Renowned winemaker Pieter Ferreira crafted this Blanc de Blanc from Chardonnay grown in limestone soils, barrel fermenting a portion in oak to enhance the richness before using the ‘Méthode Cap Classique’, South Africa’s version of ‘méthode traditionnelle’ to create the sparkle.

Vintage: 2015

Ripe red and black fruits dominate this classic Bordeaux red with subtle spice notes revealed on the rounded palate.

About this bottle: The success of France’s Bordeaux region owes much to the gravel and clay soils of the Médoc area, home to many of the world’s most famous châteaux. M&S winemaker Belinda Kleinig selected this fruity claret made by expert winemaker Pascal Poussevin, for its intense bouquet and balanced structure.
