I bought these trousers for my grandson who suffers from eczema and he has had no recurrence of it on his legs while wearing them. They wash well and just need ironing to bring them back to looking smart. I shall buy another pair!

I found these trousers about 3 years ago when my son started school. It has been really good. Luckily crawling on his knees has come to an end. I need to stock up and there are no grey trousers available? Please get some stock in grey.

They looked nothing like the picture , definitely not for school , he wouldn't be allowed to wear them at his school st Julains international school Lisbon , I will not spend more money sending them back . I hope I can bring them with me on my visit and get my money back .

I have bought these trousers X 2 on three separate occasions, simply because they are pure cotton and perfect for aczema, however they are rather baggy, despite ironing creases down the leg. Personally I preferred the skinny jean style of school trouser you did in 2014. These trousers do tear in the knees and one pair actually burst open throughout the entire seam in the seat! My child was on a school trip when this happened! Make clothes better quality M & S, as cheap fabric and shoddy stitching are a false economy for parents.

Found these as my 4 year olds eczema was a lot worse behind his knees through the week from wearing normal school trousers. These were by far the cheapest 100% cotton school trousers I could find, at eight pound a pair you cant go wrong. They crease easier than normal trousers but the improvement in his eczema is truly amazing and well worth it. I bought the grey and I like the colour they are not too light. His eczema has gone from being red, weepy, itchy with fluff stuck on it to almost healed, so glad I bought these - Well done m&s

I was very happy to discover these as cotton school trousers are very hard to come by. Please don't stop making them M&S! Have given 4 stars as I agree with the other reviewer in that they fade quickly and the knee area then looks scruffy. However, given the price compared to some other school uniform websites, (I have tried 2 other more expensive brands and found them to be no better), I will keep buying but it just means they do need replacing quite frequently.

These trousers are brilliant: soft cotton and nice straight cut. BUT I agree with the previous reviewer that the colour fades quite fast on the knees, and (in my opinion) they need ironing after each wash to look smart.. That said, my son's skin is quite sensitive so I will be purchasing them again because of the softness!

We bought this trouser as my son was not comfortable with the non-cotton ones. He feels a lot comfortable in this now. Although it is bit pricey, but the quality appears to be good.

My boy often has itchy skin, and this 100% cotton trouser has made such a difference. Good quality, you can feel it strong and although not easy-iron type (as it is made of cotton) it is worth it. One of my best buy so far.
