Boys' Flat Front Trousers in Shorter & Longer Lengths

My son is 5 and recently started school. He has long legs but is quite skinny so I bought trousers age 4/5 with the longer leg. They fitted perfect, nice and neat round his waist and hips and a great leg length. Definitely recommend and will be buying more of these.

Very smart trousers. If you have a small waisted and long legged boy these are the perfect trousers for him.

Sadly, had to return, simply because son getting 'Chris Hoy' thighs, due to the sports he participates in. These trousers are wonderful quality, for the price, except our son said the pockets were a bit sparse...he likes roomy pockets in his school trousers! Purchased age 13 for an age 11. Length was perfect. Waist was perfect. Probably best to visit store for initial fitting re school trousers but work constraints made this difficult. Did order equivalent from other suppliers and ended up sticking with seller we've used for last 5 years. Not quite as good quality, but bigger pockets and perfect fit.

These are the second set of school trousers I have purchased from M&S. They wash and wear well, the material is strong enough to withstand all that my son can put them through. From tree climbing, football to being covered in paint and glue they have washed well and continued to look smart until they were grown out of. The elasticated waist and shorter length option are most useful features and I shall be purchasing again when the time comes.

I have a fussy style-conscious 13 year old & these trousers for school tick all our conjoined boxes! For him they're trendy & grown up For me they wash beautifully & iron easily. Perfect smart trousers that hang nicely !

Good long length for a lanky 13 year old. (14 extra long siza). Nice shape and styling but not quite as heavy a fabric as I would have expected. Not that it matters to my son who doesn't feel the cold. Perfect for concerts which are indoor but I wouldn't buy them for everyday wear.

Excellent fit for a 5yr old, tall boy! Adjustable waist means they can be pulled in to fit a tall, slim build. Great length - should last the rest of the year!

These trousers (size 6-7) fit my 6 year old son well - they are long enough with a bit of room for growth, fit nicely around the waist and leg. He looks very smart in them. The only issue (like with all trousers) is that they will start to fade after a few months around the knee. However, I have never found trousers that don't fade around the knee, no matter how good reviews are. My son seems to spend a lot of time on his knees - but at least the fit is excellent and they are comfortable. The crease stays even after washing - I hardly iron them.

M&S you know you are a very loved shop! BUT why don't you keep the winning formulas? Last year I ordered 7years long and perfect fit! This year, my son still skinny I tried to order 7yrs long but not there, you now make 7-8 yrs so its baggy bum which looks awful on my otherwise handsome boy. Yes, take note, some boys are skinny and tall!!!
