Best of British Wool Blend Textured Shimmer Shift Dress

I actually bought this dress for my elderly mother, but I would happily have worn it myself, as would my daughter!

I am sorry I did not like this dress and returned it straight away.

Really love this dress and this 'Best of British' range in general. I'd never have bought this at its original price as this range has been incredibly expensive, but treated myself to this in the sale. Love the fabric and it's lined, but the workmanship doesn't warrant a price over £55 at the very most. The only annoying thing about this dress - and I find a lot of dresses in general at M&S now - is that it's about 4-6 inches too short. You can get away with showing your knees if you're under a size 12, but when you start getting a bit bigger this becomes more difficult. It also makes the dress less acceptable as workwear which is a real shame.

Got this massively reduced in the sale. Had to go for the 12 as the 10 was sold out - but even so the fit was dreadful. So tight across the top, and the sleeves felt like they'd been set it too far back - so was really uncomfortable to wear. Gone straight back

I spotted this dress in the sale and have a few other BoB pieces, however whilst this dress is a lovely fabric it just about fits across the bust. Cut is generous elsewhere but shoulders, top of arms and chest cut on the tight side. I will be keeping it though as I'd say the material/colour is more suited to spring/summer.

When I saw this dress earlier. It was quite on the expensive side for me. Then, on the sale, I was pleased saw that one with reasonable price. Good colour and good fabric. Unfortunately, it isn't best of British or shouldn't be. It has a weird pattern goes loose around waist, tight cross the chest. I feel it rather maternity dress as being having a room cross the tummy. Sure, It has been returned even with quite reduced price.

I am size 16 on the bottom and 14 on the top and the 16 fits perfectly. I can see that it might be too tight at the top on someone who is more in proportion but I can't usually get dresses that fit. The material and style are really nice and I think that it will be perfect for both a wedding and a golden wedding that I'm going to in the summer. I also bought the matching jacket in a size 14 and its a little big, so I'm not sure how the sizing works! I'm not very pleased that the jacket still has a plastic security tag on it. Great value at the sale price, though.

This is my fifth Best of British dress purchase and I have been very pleased with the other dresses but not this one. The quality is excellent but the fit is terrible not like the other purchases, It comes up very small across the chest and at the top of the arms, a great shame as the quality, style and colour is excellent. To be returned when I next go back to the UK

Love this dress looks expensive has a simple classic elegance. I am quite short so length perfect. Will be easy to dress up or down depending on occasion. Rarely can I find a dress that doesn't need altering so thrilled.
